FAQ for First day and Beyond:

• What do you bring on the first day?

  First and foremost: bring a smile and great attitude! Also remember to bring any paperwork requested by financial aid or the business office. Bring a notebook, pen, and a personal technical device (laptop or tablet).

• What should I wear?

  You will receive a uniform shirt during orientation. Wear black pants or a skirt, black closed-toe shoes, and ensure your hair, skin, and nails are groomed. 

  Your daily uniform requirements for the regular term will be reviewed during orientation.

• What should I expect during orientation?

  Lots of fun and lots of information! For the first several days we will be distributing your name badge, uniforms, books, and other equipment. There will also be team-building events to help you get to know your classmates. 

  In addition to getting into the swing of your classes, you’ll also need to complete the enrollment process, which can require a lot of submitting and re-checking of paperwork. 

  You will receive a checklist so you can make sure everything is done. Sometimes we may have questions about your forms, so please don’t be alarmed if you’re asked to speak to an instructor or administrator.

• Where do I go for orientation?

  Students will attend orientation at the following location:

  • Southfield Students: 26205 Greenfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48076
  • Canton Students (Training Center): 40211 Ford Road, Canton MI 48187

• What if I’m late or can’t make it the first day?

  We understand that life happens—especially on important days! Just give us a call at 734-762-0200 to let us know you can’t make it on the first day. We want to make sure you have a proper orientation before you start so we will work with you to make alternate arrangements.

• Who will my teacher be?

  Prior to your first week of class, you’ll receive an email with a schedule and information about your instructor.

• What should I plan for food?

  There are refrigerators and microwaves at both campuses. Both campuses are also close to dine-in or take-out restaurants. Outdoor seating options with benches and picnic tables are available.

• Where to park?

  At our Canton location, you can find parking along the side of the buildings at both the Training & Headquarters side and the Student Salon side. We recommend parking in the corner lots. 

  At our Southfield location, you can find parking in front of the building.

• Where can I get more information?

  Visit our website www.lespritacademy.com/consumer-information for links to our student catalog, drug and alcohol policy, campus safety/annual security report, and other helpful content.

• I have more questions. Who should I ask?

  Prior to orientation, you’ll receive an email with information about our staff and who can help you with different questions and concerns. We will also have information at each campus to guide you.
